Combat is terrible

This is an average game made worse by a combat system that I havent managed to figure out in the several months since it was released. I keep trying to come back to it in the hope that a patch will have improved it, but it still stinks after all this time.
Heres how the fighting works: you pick your combat units and an optional boost, start the battle, and order your army around while theyre getting murdered by your opponent. You have several options for getting murdered, but youll have to figure out what they are because the documentation for the game is miserable.
Avoid this one.
